I am passionate about sharing my love of music with students and encouraging them to follow their musical dreams.
I have been playing guitar for 36 years and teaching for 23 years. During this time I have completed an Associate Diploma in Music, and have recorded and performed extensively with various original bands. My current band earprojector have released 3 albums and have toured in Australia and Germany.
I offer guitar lessons in the Upper Blue Mountains at my home studio in Leura as well as Blue Mountains Grammar School, Leura Public School, Katoomba High School and Blackheath Public School.
I have taught classical, jazz, blues, rock and metal guitar. I have taken students through AMEB exams in Classical and Rock School and have helped them pass with High Distinctions from Preliminary Grade up to Grade 6.
My main love is electric guitar, in particular the classic styles of Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, David Gilmour and Ritchie Blackmore to name a few. But I love being introduced to new music via my students, and I encourage them to take the lead on our musical explorations as soon as they feel ready. I am also very passionate about writing my own music, and I encourage my students to do the same if they have the desire.
